Default Energy Bars for Hiking, Camping, BOBs, etc.

I'm a big eater of energy bars when it comes to hiking, camping, mountaineering, hunting etc. I find them easy to eat, and accessible on the go. If you get the munchies, you just peel the wrapper and go.

I'm a big Cliff Bar guy. My usual adventure buddy eats Luna bars. Does anyone else eat energy bars, if you do, what kinds? If you don't, what is your got to snack food?

I like granola bars ( not sure of the brand, what ever is on sale) in my hunting gear.......along with the cheese/crackers, or peanut butter/crackers, add some hard candy....I'm good.

Not real fond of Clif bars.

I used to eat bars. After a while, got tired of them. I mostly just get a big bag of trail mix. I try and make my own.

I like the Oats and Honey bars and spicey beef jerky for my trail snacks. You get something sweet and then some god ole spicey jerky to finish it off! Like Hunter, I also like the crackers stuffed with cheese and peanut butter as well.

I haven't had a Power Bar for a long time, but I used to like them. Don't know all the american brands, but I like stuffing some protein and energy bars as well as some granola bars in my kit when I go on a trip. They don't take up to much space, don't weigh all that much and can be eaten on the go without any prepping.

I used to eat quite a few energy bars. For quite some time now I have been paying a lot closer attention to nutrition and have switched to much better choices of protein and calories.

Trail mix, granola and Cliff are my favorite trail/field snack!
