Default Looking for like minded individuals where everything isn't a conspiracy theory ...

Title says it best. I am/was/soon-to-no-longer-be a $$$ contributing member to the Survivalist Boards forum since early 2011. That site, in my opinion solely, has degraded into pure conspiracy theorists political diatribe that permeates every thread, regardless of topic. For example, you start a thread on the importance of dental hygiene in the wilderness and in 9 posts, it's become Bush's or Obama's fault (or both), etc. You get the idea.

So anyway, I fished around and stumbled across this site - hopefully it is a community of like minded people with respect for each other!

    Welcome,

    BUT!!!

You will find "like minded" is not present.

We can not agree on anything.

But we are very different from where you have been

We do not call each other names, or get too belligerent while expressing the opinions we do have.

And, this is a wilderness survival board, not a "run off to the woods in case of apocalypse" board.

And we do not have a 2012 TEOTWAWKI section still open for discussions.

    Anyway, Welcome

BTW, if you ever want an education in runaway threads you should check out some of the British forums. They can not stay on topic for more than 5 posts before any thread is hijacked.

Honest, I once started a thread on making soup over the campfire and by post three it was a discussion on British jobs for British people!

    That was your hat?
You need one of these so it doesn't get crushed when you leave it laying around in the comfy chair:

I had an experience with that board once. I joined it thinking it was for homesteading and wilderness related stuff. I took off real quick, because it was more about libertarian politics and ego stroking then survival.

Heck with the hat. I want that machine. I'd mount that to the front of my truck and the next time some goof ball cuts in front of me I'd turn the butt of his car into something spiffy like a bowtie.
