Default Rambler pack strap for hatchet/axe, Mora Bushcraft leather sheath, Fiskars leather

This is a combo of items done by me, and my buddy Tony. I recently finished adding black nylon straps to my pack, hand stitched with one of those leather awl tools from Tandy. This was in anticipation of the SFA I was going to get from L.L. Bean now I'm not. The spot is filled temporarily by my "car" fiskars. It will be filled with the Council Tool or Collins double bit when they are done. The photos show the fine leather mask Tony made for my fiskars. Also shown is the leather sheath he made me for my new Mora Bushcraft, neither has seen the woods yet. I had a fiskars for a long time all paracorded up, and I (or my wife) has currently misplaced it! The kydex the bushcraft comes with is fine, but this leather is more my style.

Fine job all around. I take it that's a Bushcraft Black. It's a fine knife and should serve you well. It's one of the first knives Mora ground the spine for use with a fero rod. I hope the Fiskars your wife lost turns up. It had to be her since we don't do things like that. Although I do admit to placing items in some weird places just to see how handy they would be in that spot....just a test of course. What do you have inner tubed to the swivel sheath?

Rick it's got a mini bic lighter in there. As for the fiskars it's the one with a crashdive123 early edition leather mask! I use it all summer camping so while I was "certain" I brought it home it is possible I left it in the camper. I don't do leather (yet) so that's why I got my bud to help.

The leather looks good. The nylon straps look functional and well put together...did you know you can get the nylon straps in different colors? Of course, maybe you like the black. I would have tried a dark brown to match the leather on the pack.

Here is one source http://www.strapworks.com/default.asp I think their shipping is a little high, but not too bad.

Like the leather work! I've tried using material from Jo Ann fabrics, but they pretty much suck. Do you have a particular spot you get your leather from?

Sorry a buddy did the leather. I think it's from Tandy leather.

I buy my leather from Tandy. There is a local store here, but you can get it on-line as well.
