Blanket, moccasins (or liners to keep feet warm), sell them, other articles of clothing.

Are the hides tanned?.........if not you may have to take up tanning as a new hobby.

I saw a blanket made by one of the Northwestern American Tribes made from rabbit hides. They cut the hides into ~1" strips and this would make one hide about 8' long. Then they would twist them and sew them together. This would make a blanket with fur on both sides because of the twisting

Yes it does, and the hide is thin.....tears easy when fleshing and scrapping ....tanning these hides are hard to do.

I would make a rabbit skin robe. The hair does fall out easily so most white men would enclose it in a couple sheets.

Why don't you ever see a bald rabbit yet you can't make anything with the fur because it falls out? These are questions that keep me awake at night.

Well ya never see a rabbit with eye glasses either and I think it's due to all the carrots they eat.

They don't wear glasses, you silly, 'cause their ears are on top of their head. They can't hold them on. They use contacts. European rabbits do use a monocle however.

Was doing a Mountain man demonstration at our kids school....and took a bunch of hides along....including several rabbit hides, that my kids had gotten at rendezvous, for like $2 buck each....

One little girl was playing with it and feeling how soft it was on her face.......says to me......Did the rabbit die?......She just kept rubbing on her face and said.....Oh......

Rabbit hides are very good to use. I never had problems with the hair.
But the hide of a hare, I just throw it away. To thin, to weak. I'ts no good.
The only thing is, I don't know why it is so weak.
