Identify this plant?

Here is a plant that's been growing in a yard I've been working on. Any idea what it is? It's in full sun in what seems a very moist and rich soil. Grows very quick and will grow a high stalk if left alone. It's in northeast Georgia.

I thought some type of lettuce as well, but the leaves are not prickly.

Looks like a "Dock" Maybe "Yellow Dock" Double check with a refference.

Looking at it on the link does look like curly dock.

It looks like dock to me. Does the shoot coming up hear seeds? Edible if it is... Can make crackers out of the seeds. Very labor intensive.

looks to me like a yellow flower will come out and in a deep voice say "Feed Me"

I believe yall are right. Looks a lot like curly dock.

That's a sour dock, but there's a real simple test. Those docks are sour like sorrel. Here, you can safely taste a small bit, and spit it out.

Confirming Curly Dock. The name "yellow dock" is in reference to the yellow color of the tap root.
