I was asked a while back by a long time member here if I could post this video to show how to use Amadou from Horse hoof fungus to light a fire. I show a way to process the Amadou to maximize its ability to catch a spark.

Welcome to skeeter heaven. Very nice job. I have never heard the term Amadou before. Another learning day. Gotta love that. A little rep your way.

I've not used horse hoof fungus before but I have seen a form of scrimshaw scratched into the flat part and used for decoration.
so the definition of a criminal is someone who breaks the law and you want me to believe that somehow more laws make less criminals?
In Australia Laetiporous Portentosus is my favourite tinder fungi.
That was great! I enjoy your work. Any chance of a video on how to pound the amadou into felt for clothing? I've seen it at a Fair here and once in Sweden.
Sorry but I have no experience with that. I have heard of it and it would be a great skill to possess.
