With a bit of time at the range, it could have ended better, but we can still chalk another one up for the good guys.

Glad the lady came out okay and ran off the thugs. Too bad she did not hit them. I saw the second report by the teeeveee station and the reporter said the Detroit Police Chief would be commenting later as to whether or not the lady did the right thing by defending herself and child.
Don't know about Detroit, but in most cities, the political lackey chiefs of police always say people should not use guns to defend themselves from vicious criminals but "just call 9-1-1." Uh huh.

"The homeowner warned the teens she was armed before they entered the house," Detroit Police Chief James Craig said.
“She advised the suspects she was armed with a gun, but they indicated they didn’t believe her,” Craig said.
“She fired shots to protect her children. None of the shots took effect."
“I believe she did the right thing,” said Craig, who has repeatedly said he thinks legally armed citizens can deter crime. “It sends a message.”
Damn good police chief if you ask me.

I'm becoming more and more convinced that public hangings just might reduce the number of crimes we are experiencing. It's certain it would reduce the number of criminals.

That looked like a well-used Hi-Point carbine that mom was using. She put it to good use.

Bravo Mom! I am a little sad that she didn't kill all 3 of them!

You know the old saying....until I can carry a cop in my holster I'll have to fill it with a weapon.

I'm just glad a mom and her babies live to see another day and three thugs are off the street.
Dead is best, but innocents safe and sound while bad guys are locked up is good in my book.

Every time an older person dies, its like burning a full set of encyclopedias that will never be published again. So, if you ever want to learn more of anything, just find a old tradesman and hang out with him and then when he passes on, not the full set will burn, you'll have parts of it to pass on to others.
