    I took two of my sons on a survival camp, back in the early 90's they were use to throwing fish sticks in a microwave, and to cook for 3-5 minutes. They were shown how to reach under banks and catch fish, they were shown how to take care of fish, after which I helped them eat the fish. I have had sushi before, I ate mine, the boys had a hard time though.

    Just remember that both fresh and salt water fish can have parasitic worms in both the gut and the flesh. Eating them raw can be risky.
