Default First Homemade knife I made

Made this from a Nicholson file. It is my first one and I had a blast doing it. I made some mistakes on this one that I wont make again but overall I am pleased with it. Cant wait to start my next one.

Great job. I'm a fan of file knives. I like the file teeth still displayed on the blade. Very nice.

If you can hold it and it cuts, it's a good knife. After that it's all details.

    JT,
That was my first and only knife. I use it daily. The wood is solid Brazilian cherry flooring I picked up from a flooring retailer throwing away obsolete samples. The file I got from a pawnshop for $1 and both pins and tube came from the flooring shop as well.
I used vinyl plank flooring that I heated with oven to shape for sheath. I am about to start Christmas neck jnives for family.
Thanks for checking out my knife.

Nice for a first timer. It's better then anything I built. My last attempt turned out one of the ugliest POSes ever made.

    I like it.

I must say though that I have mixed feelings when I see somebody's first effort blow away my first dozen.
