    Default Woods bumming knife

I thought I'd try to post a pic of a knife I made a few weeks ago, my attempt at a copy of a bushcraft knife I saw a while back.
Steel from a big sawmill blade, edge quenched, triple tempered, with curly ash handle and bronze pins.
    5" blade and 4 3/8" handle

I chopped off about 15 3/4" saplings and then chopped a 2x4 in two and would still shave.

I've made nicer knives but I purposely made this one to look rustic.

    Thanks. Jim

Thanks for the comments, I going to try to make a small hunters axe next, I just got a pattern for one off a friend.

Its going to be about 10 1/2'' long with slab type handles.

I'm going to use some thicker saw steel than the above knife.

I'll post some pics when I get it done.
