Default What a crappy veterans day.

Today I had to do the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I woke up and my dog Sunny who is 19 years old was hurting really bad. She has arthritis in her hips and spine, going deaf, and has cataracts making her nearly blind. She fell on the steps and I carried her up. She wasn't eating and her breathing was laboured and she was shaking. I had to take my best friend to the animal hospital to be put to sleep. She was my very best friend and with me through thick and thin, always faithful and I will always love her and remember her. I know she's not in pain anymore but I'm feeling so bad, this is the worst loss I’ve ever had, I miss my best friend.

Duty to those you love doesn't end with uniformed service. I'm sorry for your burden, and that of your furry friend.

I'm really sorry to hear that. They're our furry kids, Beo. I'll be making one of those trips soon. Not looking forward to it at all.

    Sorry to hear that Beo.
I'm hoping, after a bit of time has passed, you can take in another. They'll be lucky to have you.

Sorry for your loss. I had to do the same thing
three years ago and i still miss him. I cried more

Sorry to hear the news. It is a hard thing to go thru. We had to put down our 15yo golden Katie 7 years ago. Still miss her to this day.

So sorry to hear about your loss. I have been there more times than I want to think about. You will always have so many good thoughts to think about and she knows you did what she needed. You loved her to the end.

My place has always been a haven for unmanageable and unwanted dogs, even more so since retirement. There is so many of them that need to hit the jackpot and find a good home.
