Some fiends of mine from Purdue and I go camping every fall on some private ground in Kingman. Thought I'd share some pics of this years camp.

The second night we ate like kings, I brought some squirrel with me that was cooked so tender that it literally fell off the bone, the guy in the cowboy hat made venison curry and then for desert we had fruit dump cake made in a dutch oven. They hauled their gear in on a wagon pulled by a side by side atv and I hiked in so that I could test out my home made trapper nelson pack in the pictures below. (note the pictures were taken after the 3 day camp, that's why I look like a caveman lol)

This was my first time testing this pack, which is my prototype based on the trapper nelson pack which (correct me if I'm wrong) was the first ever mass produced pack. I was amazed at how well this pack road, it was packed with all the same stuff that I pack in my alice pack and I would venture to say it was way more comfortable. As I said this one is just a prototype, the frame is made of pine and I used denim for the frame cover. I plan to make another using hickory and canvas for the cover and if I remember to take picture as I build the next I'll post a tutorial thread on it.
Thanks for looking
