    Remember when hiking boots were only made in one style? Black sole, tan split-leather upper, and red laces? Always the red laces. Sometimes called waffle-stompers.

    I guess I'm not into all the technical stuff.
    Kinda like I don't wear spandex when riding my bike either.

    My hikers are the waterproof Gortex Timberlands. Not the cheepies that separate at the sole. These are very durable and last a good long time if you treat the leather right.
