    Default Hello from the flatlands!

Hi All, I just joined up yesterday and haven't posted up an intro until now. I have hunted and fished all my life, mostly small game on the hunting but I have the intent to down a deer or two this fall. I have been heavily involved with scouting since 1973 until just recently as their politics is interfering with the program. Nuff said there... I have some formal survival and bushcraft training as well a just general experience. My kit is very basic and not filled with high dollar equipment and I don't do high dollar knives but keep them reasonable and good. I carry a Becker BK2 and have a BK4 in the pack both have had the handles upgraded to the micarta ones from Tomar's kabar. I use have a maxped Condor II for my pack and use an old scouter mess kit for cooking. I don't "prep" to speak of but I am equipped for a 2 week breakdown. My firepower consists mostly of shotguns and a few handguns, enough to keep civilities if needed. I am an electrical engineer by education and retired last year after working for the man for 30 years. I will gladly learn and give back as much as I can here. Ent
