The opening is about 2-1/2" long and about 5/8" wide at it's widest.
I appreciate the vote of confidence. For now it's still a fun hobby. Wouldn't want to ruin that by HAVING to do something.

I love the knife, I have been ask a few times to make that kind of handle but I always pass, but you knocked it out of the park. I agree keeping it as a hobby, I have a few friends that are full time knife makers and they have to charge a lot more and it becomes a job, with stress, pressure and deadlines.
Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellers they are established.
