Default Returning from Korea...back at last!

    Hey all,

I lurked here a bit before I PCS'd to korea, and thought I'd get to do a little bit of bushcraft while I was there, but no luck. I'm SO glad to be back in the states, and about to embark on some new outdoor adventures.

After a year in Korea, I have decided to get out of the Army after 11 years. I am still not entirely sure what I'm going to do for work, but i'm sure I'll pick something up soon. I have a few offers, just not entirely sold on where I want to settle.

Regardless, i'm glad i'm back stateside and I think I will enjoy my new home here amongst you all.

    Thank you.

    Chinook.

Welcome back. ICE is going to be adding 20,000 more border officers. Maybe you could fly for them.

11 years and you want to get out? After I hit 10 I decided, what the hell, another 10 and I can retire. Besides I was doing something I loved, flying. Welcome back! My niece just returned from Korea and is now in Washington state.

    Welcome back.
I had a compass, but without a map, it's just a cool toy to show you where oceans and ice are.

yeah, and I have a 2 year old. I'll never miss another entire year of his life. Never again. That's time with him I'll never get back, ever. The retirement isn't worth that to me...don't know how it is to anyone anymore.

I ran a marathon once...at the 13.1 mile mark, I did not say..."oh too easy, I'm halfway!" lol
