I've got my Get Across Any Bridge Bag. Is that close enough?

Should'nt you put your clothes on before you put on all that gear?

Why can't I go anywhere without people telling me to put clothes on? It's like my childhood all over again.

I90 bridge sinking in Seattle. Washington seems to have a few problems with their bridges.

Yeah, they don't have a great track history.

Maybe they should have stuck with a tried and tested design.....

I was not home in California at the time, but I remember my father telling about his experience driving home from San Francisco to Marin County during one of the earthquakes. He said the bridge was shaking, but the Golden Gate Bridge did not collapse. Maybe the 49ers knew a thing or two about bridge construction.

I think the bridge in this latest incident went a little heavy on the trying between testings.

I once saw a commentary on how construction people in the early 20th century were perfectionists down to the laborers and that things were built to last. After that, companies looked for all the ways they could to cut corners. When all the old buildings, dams, bridges, and such wear out we're fully into the age of falling things.
True enough, my final home is still out there, but this is most certainly my home range and I love it. I love every rock I fall off and tree I trip over. Even when I am close to dying from exhaustion, a beautiful sunset doesn't lose it's power to refresh and inspire me and that, in itself, is enough to save me sometimes.

I don't think so, Canid. Horsh@#$ sounds a great deal like a raspberry. A crashing bridge is a lot louder. Which begs the question do you know the difference between sh@#$ and Shinola?
