There are not many things I abhor but peeling hard boiled eggs is something I will never do again as long as I live. Devil spawn.

Well, I'll try it out and see if it keeps the deer away from some of my plants. I've already got fabric softener sheet hanging from what's left of my apple trees so what's a few egg shells on the ground???
"I enjoy surviving." Yes, well I certainly hope so as the other side of that is "DEATH!"

No - he's OK with drinking pee.
Hard boiled eggs peel better if the eggs are several days to a week old (not past the due date but 'been around a while').
Fresh eggs never peel.
Hot/cold/ice water doesn't matter.

Peeling hard boiled eggs? A round or two of 7½ shot at 20' should do the trick.

Get with it guys, it only takes seconds to peel an egg once you know how. Shouldn't you old timers know this?

I like the pickled ones in the jar at the saloon....after a few beers....you know the one that sit there for 20 years, and are kinda green and brown.....The I dare ya ones.
Seemed like a good idea at the time.
Or try turtle eggs, kinda like a rubbery ping pong ball that has a small flat spot.....

I give my eggs shells back to my chickens. They lose calcium every time they lay an egg. So, I either have to buy calcium for them, or just give them back the egg shells. I might start putting some of them in my garden though. Right now I am getting between 8-10 eggs a day with my 11 girls.
And, yes, fresh eggs don't peel well. Air permeates through the shell, and the bigger the air pocket, the easier it is to peel.
I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

I don't want to be the one to open the egg to find out... after a few weeks it's gotta smell!

Note to self....never eat deviled eggs at slowcamaro's house. That is pretty cool, though. I don't think I've ever seen that before.
I'm with Lowkey, new eggs are the worst. Impossible task. Hot/cold makes no difference. They have to be a week old to even think about hard boiling them. Then they are just devil spawn.
