Thread: Greetings from Georgia

    Default Greetings from Georgia

    Hi folks,

I just want to say hello from North Georgia. If anyone is looking for a buddy for hiking, bushcraft, kayak camping or working on wilderness skills I am willing and able. Honestly, I don't get out as much as I would like, but I'm always ready. Since I teach high school students I do have summer's off and several breaks throughout the year for extended trips.

I'm looking forward to learning from all of you on the forum and, hopefully, enjoy your company around a campfire.

I like surplus military guns. My first centerfire rifle was a Mosin carbine with a shot out barrel. It would keyhole shots at 25 yards. I found this Izhevsk 91/30 with matching serial numbers, hex receiver, and bright bore (probably an arsenal refurbish that was stores away after WWII). I wanted carbine length, so I had it cut down, and the bolt bent. It is one of my favorite "roughing it" guns.

    Cool Howdy from Sarge!

Welcome aboard. I, too, have summers and time off since I drive buses around a Univerity Campus during the school year....
