Default "Mountain Man" Evades Utah Authorities by Surviving for Years in the Wilderness

    See Article:http://news.yahoo.com/survivalist-su...072302677.html

Apparently, this self-proclaimed "Mountain Man" had been living in the woods for at least six years, evading the authorities. Guy was probably crazy, but you have got to admire his wit and will! Looks a little like a crazy older brother to Les Stroud ...

Glad they caught the SOB.....No wonder there are so many "run away to the wilderness, and survive".....questions.

The impression I got from the story is that he was just a two-bit criminal who survived the winters by breaking into remote mountain homes. Not some Jeremiah Johnson who actually worked for what he needed to survive. If he had done enough to warrant a man-hunt like the one recently witnessed at Big Bear Lake, CA, I doubt he would have lasted much more than a week or two.

As some one that has had to deal with a broke into cabin...I do not admire 'his wit and will" anymore that the "poor guy, with no job" the robs the Quickie Mart.

PREACHTHEWORD - "Guy was probably crazy, but you have got to admire his wit and will!"
    Uhhhh, not hardly!

The guy is nothing more than a stone cold, parasitic, ex-convict, felon.

You can bet the farm that when he gets out of prison in a few years, he will be even angrier and meaner and more parasitic than now. He will automatically get back into "the life" of committing criminal acts... and this time, he might just begin to kill people for whatever he wants.

If this dangerous scumbag had had any real "wit and will" he would have NOT been a dangerous thief and destroyer, he would have become an honest, productive member of society.

Instead of jailing him why not smear him in bacon grease and use him for bear bait.
