Default It had WHAT in it?

Is it any wonder that I don't believe most of the stuff, that the media tells us? Just how big is the glove compartment in a Honda Civic?

A loaded 12-gauge shotgun was found in the glove compartment of the Honda Civic Lanza drove to the school with two magazines containing 70 rounds of Winchester 12-gauge shotgun rounds.

It's New England folks, they don't know the difference between a glove compartment and a trunk.

When I was teaching I had kids in my classes that kept their pistols in the air filter chambers of their cars, so their guns were under the hood. If some reporter said "he took his gun from under the hood" most peole would think they did not know what they were talking about.

Besides, we really don't expect accuracy or objectivity in reporting any more, do we?

Hey, my first car had a glove compartment that would hold a shotgun. It had floorboards that would let you see the road too. Great visibility I'm tellin' ya.

Ooooo more than 1000 rounds. Is soooooo scarrrrry...
(some of you are probably asking yourselves, "I wonder if it's for sale?"

Now all the rag-blogs are saying the NRA is lying the mother and son weren't members. They probably weren't. The NRA pistol guide and the 'NRA certificate' are more than likely the handgun safety handbook and participation certificate you get when you pass the state mandated gun safety class. I got both in MA when getting my license. CT has a similar requirement for handgun ownership. The course instructors are usually NRA trained and state licensed to teach, and the certificates have both the NRA and the State Police logos on them. Here anyway.

It really sucks the way journalism has spiraled to the depths of crap writing and no background research. That article is barely in english.
