    40K is not nearly enough!

That will not even cover the hospital bills.

The city is probably going to hit her with that much in cleanup fees for the incident. Littering fines fro leaving a shot up truck in the middle of the road!

This is way too soon to be letting anything done in California be settled.

I hope she can still sue the individuals involved and the other agencies.

If you read the article, this is only property settlement for the truck. I suspect the personal injury and damages, when awarded, will have a couple more zeros on it.

I find it amazing that 102 rounds hit the vehicle and nobody was killed. What were they using, full auto pellet guns?

Different color, different model, different make.

    Must be our guy.

I'm saddened that the civilians shot at and killed during the hunt for Christopher Dorner didn't get more news coverage.

I do hope the final settlement is much more than that, and that the officers who pulled this stunt are severely reprimanded.

Seems like we give more protection to Islamic Jihadists than we do American citizens. Had something similar happened on the streets of Kabul or Baghdad there'd be threats of courts-martial for those service personnel involved.

So, somewhere in that 102 rounds, they didn't figure out that there was no return fire?
    Absolutely disgusting.
