Default S35VN vs. SV30 whats the big difference?

I use a Harsey Model 2, made from S35VN, the constituent that makes it a step up from SV30 is the addition of Niobium, I've never owned an SV30 knife, anybody own one of each? whats the difference?

I have used both and I cant tell much differance at all in performance. If you are heat treating yourself go with the 35vn its easier to heat treat due to the addition of the Niobium(Improves grain refinement and precipitation hardening) it also helps with stain resistance and toughness. You can also polish s35vn to a mirror finish s30v not so much. They are both hard to work with and eat up sanding belts, they will both mantain an exclent keen edge. If you are buying production knives from a good manufacturar both are top of the line high performance stain resistant steels and I would bet you would have a hard time telling the differance in performance.

    s35vn: C 1.40, Mn .40, Si .40, CR 14.00, Va 3.00, Mo 2.00, NB .50
    s30v: C 1.45, Mn .40, Si .40, CR14.00, Va 4.00, Mo 2.00.
