Default Char Box & Charring Materials

This is the 5th episode of 'Tales From The Wasteland' In it Dogmeat and I go over how to make a char tin/box and how to char various materials (cloth, cattail & charcoal). You char tin will allow you to make charred materials for easier fire lighting and make charcoal, for fire lighting and a multitude of other uses.

If you carry a small piece of bee's wax candle end....use it to seal the hole when done....keep char tinder water proof till next use....as the wax will melt out very fast, allowing the tin to do it's work.

Candle end can also be used to assist in a situation when tinder and wood is wet.....as well as lube for zippers etc.

Nice little instructional. I thought I would suggest a practical substitute for cloth and cattail fluff. Try dry punky wood. There are lots more things that make a good char, but punk wood is usually available almost anywhere.
