I had a customer email me a pic of a knife the other day and wanted to know if I could make him one, so I made this one as a practice knife to see if I could, his will have some finger grips filed in and I will replace the saw with a straight section of blade I think it will be more useful. The saw looks tough but to be truthful you would wear yourself out trying to use it, its just not long enough. knife is also made from 1/4" stock thickness 1075 carbon steel, handle is orange g-10 knife and handle has sand blasted finish.

lol, it looks cool but I think that is as far as it would go for me anyway, I think its a knife/axe and it does chop good I gave it a good try out before I sand blasted it, it will make short work of a small tree/bush, I chopped up a couple pine 2 x 4 with it stabbed it into wood and broke over the tip, but I knew that thick stuff would not brake. Also I could see the use for game processing if it were not so heavy and long it would make a good skinning knife. But it will not do anything the ironwood handle knife wont do and you have a lot better surface for batoning with it and one that looks more normale.

yes and no, these are all pre sold, I rarly get to post a knife that is for sale, most of these were commisioned months ago. Some times I have a buyer back out, for one reason or the other or just want to make a knife that I want to see, and get to list one. I just mostly post them because I like to talk about them and play on these forums. I will make a knife for anyone but i'm backed up a few months right now so only if time is of no concern.

I really like that sod buster. I think some spalted wood on it would set it off.

I'm not sure what to think about the Tracker clone. It does look cool and kinda scary. It screams tactical meat grinder to me. Lol.

It was something new, if I were to make myself one I would use 3/16 1095 or 0-1, d leave the attempt at a saw off the back. But that's just me

The saw on the TOPS Tracker isn't meant to saw, but rather just make notches for snares and such. I reckon it would make good scrapings for a firesteel, though.

well it will do that just fine, I put it to use on several types of wood and it cut good, I just didn't see it being used to cut much.

I know of the WSK, as it was called way before Tom Brown endorsed it. I think I'd get alot more work done with a SAK saw and a "regular" knife.
