    Default Sweet wood for a knife handle

    I know this style knife really doesn't fits this sight or what a lot of what you guys look for in a knife, but I had to post it I just liked the wood so much.

    I enjoyed a nice file work free weekend, I love this wood I plan on using a lot of it. It is very hard, looks good and works well, so win win right.

    8 1/2" total length
    3 3/4 inch blade with 3 1/4" cutting edge, 5/32" stock thickness Alabama Damascus
    handle is stabilized spalted Tamarind, I'm really liking this wood.

    That has most of the features I look for in a wilderness knife. It's purty too.
    I had a compass, but without a map, it's just a cool toy to show you where oceans and ice are.

    I prefer that type of knife, actually, for most things. If I don't have a hatchet, I'll take my 6-inch blade Randall, but if I have a hatchet and a knife, I prefer to have a shorter one like this. That is a gorgeous blade!

    Yep I With Crash Any Spalted Wood Is Great Looking.And Tamarind Just Looks Great . I Have Some Pecan and Ceader That I Have Been Working On Spalting for About 6 Months Now Comming Along Nicely.I Have Some of the Spalted Tamarind But Running Out .And Will Need to Get More. I Love the Wood Also
