Do magnesium shavings work when wet?
Do magnesium shavings work when wet?
They should be pretty easy to dry, but if they are wet, they will not ignite. They are not porous so if you had a dry kleenex, shirt, etc, it would take a quick minute to dry them enough.
So do you have to dry each one, or just the rod before you make the shavings?....or maybe dump the shaving into the towel, and kinda squeeze them.
They are usually dry when you scrape them off.

Just keep them in a nice, waterproof container and you shouldn't have any problem.

If one ignites.....it will dry the rest very quickly.
So this is how liberty dies.....With thunderous applause.
