Bananas were a late bloomer this year. Been a little too cool for them to develop.

What time of year are they normally ripe?
Recession; A period when you go without something your Grandparents never heard of.
When they start developing by or before Early October they do well (here). These popped out in late December.
Wow. That's pretty neat.

That’s an exotic in my neck of the woods.
For your sake I hope they do make it. Nothing like banana's fresh off the tree. Once I had that I could never go back to the store bought ones.
H63 - too cool now for them to continue developing. We've had a couple of freezes/frosts.
MM - it is a real treat. We're kind of limited in space, so just a few plants. They took a real hard hit a few years ago with a real harsh (by Florida standards) winter. This is the first fruit since that winter. Unfortunately this plant will die off - they do after they bear fruit, but have usually sprouted up another one before they do.
