    Cool Winter hang'n time...

    So here's what we did a few days ago. WinterHangnPairOfHH's.jpgWindDirection.jpg Invigorating stuff this is. :-) Anyone else use a hammock?

    Been using a hammock for about a year now, love it! I started on a DIY underquilt project that I hope to test this winter but the temps have not been below 40. Id like to try at around 30...

    I used an old sleeping bag, it worked waaay too well for 50 deg nights, the heat ran me out the hammock!

    Tell us the story of your outting! Id love to know the details! Temp, grub, duration, etc.....

    hammocker here. i'm still pretty new to it though. i use an eno double nest and eno tarp. i use the clilmbing webbing and rings for my suspension. i use a sleeping the upzips at the foot so it's like a sock. are you on hammockforums.net?

    Looks really cold. Don't know that I'd do it in the winter...I'm a wuss that way.

    I'm working on it. I have a Grand Trunk Ultralight travel hammock.
    I actually finished making my set of whoopie slings this morning. I have some webbing from a tree-stand safety harness I picked up for a few bucks that I plan to make into tree straps. I have several tarps, spare sleeping bags and climbing 'biners that I can make the rest of the setup from.
