Well, after a 20-year hiatus, I have decided to start hunting again (I was raised in a hunting family, but through the course of a divorce, remarraige, blah blah blah, I sold my guns and stayed home). Anyway, I'm going to start with small-game hunting. I've done a lot of research and will probably hunt with a .22 pellet rifle. So here's my question:

I like the looks of the Crosman Nitro gas piston rifles. However, that technology is pretty new, compared to the break barrel spring guns that have been around for decades. So . . . I would really like to know how reliable these gas piston rifles are. Have any of you used one of these, for at least several thousand shots? If so, can you attest to the reliability of the technology?
