Default TO BUILD A FIRE - The Movie.

I know that many people here have read the short story "To Build A Fire," by Jack London. Here is a link to an excellent 1970 BBC movie, 50 minutes, made of the story.

The acting is superb (both man and dog), the scenery is magnificent, and the story is read by the late Orson Wells. What more could one ask?

If you can watch this and not shiver and feel cold as the man tries and tries to build a fire, then you've never been really cold out in the boonies, finding yourself in need of a fire. I have but have never been as desparate as the man in the story.

    Give it a look.

Thank you, I loved that. Saw it when I was a kid and enjoyed seeing it again. Can't go wrong with Jack London.

Pete Lynch, I don't know why that link doesn't work.

I copied the link again so will post it here. Maybe it'll show for you this time.

I have dealt with 75 degree winters my whole life and am an expert at building fires in them!

You get me below 40 degrees and I am looking to warm my hands in my companions guts. LOL

-75 is 107 degrees below freezing. Kinda makes my cold blooded alligators sound all warm and cuddly. No?
