The other day I made this spoon for reaching into a mre pack, that way I can cut the top open rather than the side. would be good for a sundae too.
it's from heavy copper, type L , heated up red and quenched and then hammered into shape. It is a bit of a PIA because as it is hammered it work hardens. The PIA factor is when it needs to be annealed again because something is not quite right and I don't want to work harden it to the point it cracks . It needs to be hammered on again to harden it up and maybe to correct the flaw, not much hammering is required. hope that made sense.
