    Default Fence

I was just wondering what type fence people are putting up? I would like a all around fence for goats, donkeys, hogs, and other critters. I put up just your everyday field fence but the goats kept getting their heads stuck. (Having horns is tough sometimes.) I was thinking a 2x4 wire fence. Your thoughts?

run a hot wire down low for those goats. It will save your fence!

We ran cattle with Spanish and then Spanish/Boer goats for years. A good nine strand barbed wire fence does the trick for either. It doesn't keep wild pigs out, so an electric wire might just solve your problem for both.

Note: A problem with panels or netting is that goats can get their heads through, but their horns hang up when they try to back out. You won't have that problem with a barbed wire fence.

Hmmm........A nine strand barbed wire fence does sound like a good idea.
