Thread: Firebow

    Post Firebow

I was wondering if it would be possible to start a fire with a firebow where the base board and the spindle were made of the same kind of wood. For example if the entire bow and set were made of cedar.

Also I was wondering if there was a website out there with a scale of the different hardness of wood types.

    Thanks

Yes, two woods of the same species will work ok assuming it is the right wood and dry.
Earth - love it or leave it.

mule fat works the best, it is a shrub plant fron 4-9 ft tall

but if your a beginner use ce=dar since it is not easy by an means, but isn't impossible even though it may seem so
