I had a compass, but without a map, it's just a cool toy to show you where oceans and ice are.
Stay safe, thought that y'all would be used to it?

You kinda get used to it.
It's a bit nerve-wracking waiting for flying debris to take out a window or a tree to blow over and take out a rook or block the road, etc etc.
Like getting used to being kicked in the shins.

Watch your topknot my friend.
Just had a pretty, err, sporting ride to town and back. Saw a double wide with half it's roof laying on a Jeep. Pink insulation all over the place.
Most common debris was little political yard signs.

Southeastern Alaska? We're not talking about Sandy, are we?
Keep your feet on the ground.
We have 4 Sandy's a yr. This one will make the paper tomorrow.
Unlike Sandy's area, we are steep so no flooding.

Well, I suppose that's a plus, as long as you don't have a big snowbank or glacier hanging over you.
