Thread: "All Weather Blanket" as a survival shelter.

Default "All Weather Blanket" as a survival shelter.

I was testing my BOB and it started to rain. I quickly make a shelter with my "All Weather Blanket" and a pair of wooden sticks:

It may be used too as a small tarp, a ground cover... Or a blanket. Great and usefull stuff

Nice and quick setup. I fought with covers that always seemed to be just a little small for me. That is till I found out our local Ace Hardware could get me different sizes and thicknesses on special order.

MPI makes them as do some other companies now. They were the 1st space blanket made, I had several when I was 19 and I'm 65 now. E-bay has them in different colors at a lower price than most:

Quick and clever. What holds it from flopping open if you sleep like me? I roll over so much my blanket is like a conveyer belt.
I had a compass, but without a map, it's just a cool toy to show you where oceans and ice are.

Would never work for me. That'd be like trying to stuff a ham hock in a postal envelope. But looks like it worked well for you. A little out of box thinking. (I wonder if I have any stamps. I could use a vacation.)
