    Default Space Jump

Watching the space jump live on Discovery right now (you can watch it on-line). He is currentlyt at 53,000 feet. Outside temperature is -91F.

Pretty cool. He's got a bit over an hour to go before he reaches the goal altitude.

    Airborne!!!
I had a compass, but without a map, it's just a cool toy to show you where oceans and ice are.

Makes me think of all the times that I pushed a bicycle up these hills just to coast down the other side. It was fun then, dunno if that would be the same rush now.

I'm thinking the cool part is that it's people/business doing this, instead of governments.......That's the way it shoud be.

I was wondering why with only seconds from the free fall record they didn't let him go a little longer and break the record. Someone had to figure that the speed he needed to break the sound barrier would cause him to miss the free fall record.
