    Well, glory be!
I was hopping you weren't pinned down under one of your projects or had a heart attack from
checking out the prices of bulk ammo.
Live it up and get a new computer. And hurry back...there's no one to kick a$$ around here...Sarge can't do it all by hisself.

Unless the computer actually burns down, there is no reason you should be losing your bookmarks/favorites. Or much of any of your personal data/files.

I think Bill Gates just stirred his hard drive and left him with the vinegar. I lost my monitor a few weeks back and at first glance thought it was the hard drive. I had heart palpitations for a couple of hours. If it will make you feel any better I'll delete some stuff in sympathy. Hang in there!!

(Why am I having a hard time picturing him with a library card?)

    EGADS!

For the past two weeks I've been working with 24 library employees, and NONE of them looks like that [though two of them came kinda close]! Where, exactly, is this library you're talking about?

I was thinking the same thing Daniel.

If our librarians looked like that I woud be one of the most well read people in the eastern U.S. There is one young lady that comes close at the main branch, but not at our little remote corner of the book world.

Anyway, I am back. Got the mess cleaned up, still have most of my files but they were recovered in alphabetical order so I must now rearrange them. Aim Surplus is at the top of the list and WSF is near the tail end.

I have also contracted for a backup tower on XP so if this ever happens again I will have a reserve com system. My computer guy claims my troubles are mostly due to the faults with the HP tower and Vista program. I went for years wih zero problems out of my old Compact in XP. This time it simply decided to shut down and give me nothing but a cursor dot, which is nothing I can actually use.

Daniel, we may be old, fat and worn out, but our eyes still work!

For that librarian leave the glasses home. Braille works fine.
