Default Looking for North Florida Foraging Groups

I have been looking around the Tallahassee area for folks who are involved in foraging but have not had much luck. Anyone know of a group I can join in the Big Bend area? I don't mind travelling a ways to meet up with them. I am just hoping to find a mentor so I can learn more "in the field" - so far all I know is what I read. Would appreciate any help. Thanks so much.

In addition to the groups that Rick listed, have you thought about taking a class?

While it appears that his schedule does not take him to Tallahassee, one of his classes may be worth the drive for you. http://www.eattheweeds.com/ I've taken one of his classes and it was jam packed with information.

    start your own foraging group
put an ad out on social media that you're teaching yourself wild edibles
you could probably do a first meet-up in a public park

a true forager can find wild edibles most anywhere
    .
Knowledge without experience is just information

there are two types of wild food enthusiasts,
one picks for enjoyment of adding something to a meal,
and the second is the person who lives mostly on ( wild ) edibles
