Default Hello, Very Nice to Meet You!

    Age: 54

    Gender: I am a woman

Geographic Location: PNW, 12 miles from Podunk, 3 miles from the Pacific Ocean.

Occupation: Survival. Currently, Aunt Crabby's Logging School for Wayward Culls in Need of Redemption and Good References. I'm an A-Hole Wrangler. I hope this changes soon.

Prior Relevant Training: I was born into backwoods, mountain wilderness, survivalist culture. As kids we found the Military Surplus stash and Military Survival and Special Forces Training Manuals. We used them to get ourselves in and out of all kinds of jams, shouting, "DO OR DIE!" at each other. I can't believe we didn't die! Fortunately I had adults to teach me the fine arts of enjoying the backwoods without the adrenaline. Official training: Fire Academy, Avalanche Survival.

The Nature of Your Prior Experience: High mountain wilderness. Out the backdoor and gone for several days with only my pockets by early teens. I like to travel light and move silently. Out with burros or horses for 6 weeks at a time, I did it with little kids for a week at a time. Spent most of my life off-grid and liked it.

    Your Level of Experience: Advanced.

Your Preparedness Planning: Anything short of direct astroid hit.

Your Interests and Hobbies: Playing on the internet.

Lifestyle: Small farm, growing and preserving my own food. Fishing, foraging and socializing at the bonfires.

Your Membership and Learning Objectives: Intellectual discourse on common interests, poking sticks at Sourdough's Grizzlies.

    Welcome to WSF.
I had a compass, but without a map, it's just a cool toy to show you where oceans and ice are.
