Smile Hello Fellow Survivalists/Wilderness Preppers/Forest Dwellers

I am Robert, from Western Pennsylvania. I am 52, a husband (married to a wonderful woman), father (of 4), and grandfather (of 8). I am a former Army National Guardsman, Boy Scout & Boy Scout Leader, fisherman & Fly Fishing Instructor, computer technician, and Butterfly Breeder.

I grew up in the outdoors with my father and family, learning and teaching outdoor skills for survival, and for respect and protection of the outdoor resources. I have taught pioneering, orienteering, cooking, and wilderness survival to Boy Scouts, and survival communications and land navigation to National Guardsman.

I am a computer technician by trade, outdoorsman by choice. I wouldn't have it any other way, either. The woods, wilderness, outdoors, whatever you choose to call it, is the best place for anyone to learn about life and living.

    Hello and welcome
If by what I have learned over the years, allow me to help one person to start to prepare. If all the mistakes I have made, let me give one person the wisdom that allows them to save their life or the life of a loved one in an emergency. Then I will truly know that all the work I have done will have been worth every minute.

Welcome to WSF, thanks for your service.
I had a compass, but without a map, it's just a cool toy to show you where oceans and ice are.
