    Default Oklahoma Wild Edibles

Can anybody direct me on where I could go or who I could talk to about finding the wild edibles here in Oklahoma? Help would be greatly appreciated. Thx.

There are actually some great books on the subject. Edible Wild Plants of Eastern Central North America by Les Peterson (It's a Peterson Field Guide) is pretty good. Another is Edible Wild Plants by the Pocket Naturalist. It's a laminated pocket sized folding guide that you can take to the field with you. A sister publication is Medicinal Plants. Also by the Pocket Naturalist. The Peterson guide is about $20 while the Pocket Naturalist guides are around $5 each but contain far less information than the Peterson Guide. I'm sure others will post their favorites.
