Default How to light a fire with your toes!

How to effectly light a fire with your toes if enable to use one of your limbs. I had a stroke when I was 6 years old and lose use of my right side, ever since then I've had to find ways around doing things. I wasn't just going to lay down and feel sorry for myself. It's kind of like being injured 24/7, you have to adapt to the world around you. Sorry about the toe nails, there pretty gnarly. I once fought a bear with just my feet... lol j/k Need to cut them bad boys, guess that's why I can't hold down a girlfriend for more then a few months... lol. Hope you guys enjoyed the video, just thought I'd share this little tip.

I have to tell you that's a method I probably never would have thought of but looks like an effective way of doing it. Thanks for posting that. It sure reminds us that we can do more than we think and to keep thinking outside the box. Good vid!

not really, although if i were to do it in a survival setting i would wrap my toes in something to keep from rubbing them raw in the bush.

There is a commercial running on TV at the moment for the para-Olympics. It shows one guy shooting a bow using his foot and mouth. I was completely blown away by it. I suppose if you can dream you can do it. Pretty amazing stuff to me.

Great reminder to think outside the box. We often take for granted the use of all our limbs. There has been other posts about compensating for the lose of limb use but admittedly it is something that I don't put thought to. Time to change that and look at things from a different perspective.

Should be about the same, but might be more difficult as the ferro rod by it's self would/might be smaller or not in a holder?

you would be supprised at what your toes can do lol, your feet are very strong since most peple walk on them all day. it's no harder then standing on your toes, same muscles control both. =)

If you thread a needle with thread I'll be truly impressed. I can't even see the needle with glasses and a magnifying glass for cryin' out loud.
