    Default trouble registering

    Hello,
Tried to create an account, but after I input all of my info, I get the following error:

Registration denied, this forum runs an active policy of not allowing spammers. Please contact us via the "Contact Us" page link if you believe this is in error

I don't see a "Contact Us" page anywhere, so I hope this is the right place. I actually thought I already had an account here, but I guess not cause it said the username "heysmithy" was available. Anywho, if you let me in, not only can I promise to not spam your board, but I will give you the recipe for the BEST oatmeal chocolate chip cookies in the world! Eh? Pretty sweet deal, yeah?

Hey heysmithy. Glad to see you. I suspect your proxy server is the issue. The anti spam software that is incorporated checks a spam database, and if the one you happen to be assigned was ever reported, it will block you. One of the Admins should be able to fix things for you when they check in.

Thanks Crash! You know me, always gotta be difficult.

Do me a favor if you could. I posted on the other forum some quick info on how to recover (some) data from the old ST site. It's time sensitive though, because I believe the info is only cached by Google for 30 days if I remember correctly, and a lot of the info I'm seeing was cached on 4/27/12 or around there. The problem is I'm drawing a blank on what to recover.

Could you copy what I said in the other forum, and let members here know how to get the info they want before it's gone forever?

Nothing I can do on this one. He can't register so I can't move him to New Member status.

HeySmithy - Your IP is being blocked by StopForumSpam.com. Your IP is listed 192 times and has been reported something like 42 times. If you can find another IP to register through you should be okay. Sorry.

Okie dokie, that's great advice! I changed IPs and I now have an account. I'm surprised I didn't think it would let me keep on trying with the same username and email and stuff. Thanks for the help!
