Thread: Question

    Default Question

Me and my family planted lettuce in our garden last year and cut it down before winter. Now this year lettuce has popped up in big bunches. My mom doesn't think it's okay to eat and my dad does.Personally I believe it's okay to eat,but since they have different opinions nothing's being done with the lettuce(which is growing nicely) I looked it up and couldn't find anything so I figured I'd ask you guys.

The lettuce went to seed and replanted itself. It is no different than if you would have bought seeds and planted them yourself. Eat away.

Depending on your location, it may have come back up from the root stock.

If you cut a stalk, and the juice is sorta milky, it will be bitter, not so tasty......

But I'm thinking, as you said it is in bunches, sounds like it re-seeded it's self, should be fine.
