Ah-hem! We might talk slow, but we don't think slow.

I don't have to pay attention to you. You're a transplanted Kalifornian. You guys didn't fight on either side.

You really do have a thing about that word, don't you?

I will have you know that my great, great, great, somewhere around there uncle was an aid to General John A. Logan.....then got busted to private....but that part doesn't get talked about much. It had to do with....well....it doesn't matter. Suffice it to say he was framed. Next question.

    Here's his muster out pay.

"Clothing account - last settled, Aug. 10, 1863; amount for clothing in kind or money advanced, $44.83; Bounty due, $100; Remarks: "Furnished horse and equipments and pay due for use and risk of same for 217 days. Was private to June 1, 1862, then corporal to Feb. 10, 1863. Reduce by order of Capt. Carmichael."

That "reduced" part still sticks in our craw a tad.

Well that clears it all up.

And for the record, you use the H word more than ANYone else. If only it would stay on that.

Rick, with all due respect, you REALLY don't want to go down that path with me, because it will take you into a subject area you're most likely not prepared to deal with (and slavery has nothing to do with it).

    Fair warning, okay?
