I'd have to agree.
Wilderness Survival:
Surviving a temporary situation where you're lost in the wilderness
I agree too. Dr. Atkins would be pleased with that fare.
Looks like success to me......not for everyone, I'll agree....but hey, you do what you gotta do.

That guy is not in survival mode!
He is living in the artic alongside, among and married too, people that have lived in the Artic for 40,000 years!
If I decide to go live with the Amish for the remainder of my life how is that "survival"?
I would probably gain 20 pounds and die a fat happy old man with no radio, TV, or internet to remind me how crappy things were.
If you didn't bring jerky what did I just eat?
Cheer up, the worst is yet to come.
It's the lifestyle that he chose, just as we all live the lifestyles that we have chosen. For him - if there is no game, then he goes hungry. For you and I - if we lose our jobs we may go hungry. I might work x number of hours a week to provide for my family just as he does. The big difference is I work what many might consider a regular job while he puts in hours hunting, chopping, splitting, building, etc. While a subsistence lifestyle might seem harsh and unrealistic for many, I'll be he views it as just living.
more power to the fella !!
his wifes family have been living this way for 1000's of years, all that has changed is the 'technology'....firearms instead of spear and bows, and skidoos instead of dog & sled. Oh, and modern buildings.......apart from that , the 'life-style' is identical and no less harsh or dangerous than it was 200 years ago.
If I had my druthers, I'd be living as he does !!
