That Dick Clark died in the year that we might not have a New Years eve? Maybe the Myans were right after all

I hadn't put the two together. Hmmm. This does not bode well. Add an election year on top of that. Well.....I'm thinking panic.

    May he rest in peace.

We used to have Johnny Cash, Bob Hope, and Steve Jobs. Now we have no hope, no cash, and no jobs, Lord help us if Kevin Bacon dies...

As far as the Mayan's "end-of-the-world" calendar goes, the Mayan prognosticators knew nothing about Leap years, so actually, the world ended about 1 1/2 years ago.

We're all just ghosts now, according to the Mayan astrophysicists.

Actually, the end was predicted by the Mayan version of Cliff Clavin.

The way I understand it, the Mayan prediction is simply a change from a masculine dominance to a feminine dominance. Maybe the OP should be doubly worried?

So how do we know who's calender is correct! If the Myan calender is correct, and ours is really wrong, then how do we know when the end will come?
The Myan calender is based on the astrological cycles, and ours is based on time measurements which are 2 different things entirely.
So the supposed end may not be this coming December 12th according to our calender, it could be January 20th, but since our calenders are based on 2 different principles, we cannot know exactly when it will happen.
All we know is how we interpret their calender which may not be correct.
So, I am now at the point the I really dont think anybody truly knows what month it is

I'm not, but I plan to be. I'll have a bowl of grapes ready to peel for her.

All this senseless debate over if and when. Take some concrete action.

I'm all for the lawn chair and beer plan! Maybe something grillin' on the pit in case it takes a while.
