Sourdough died like a true Alaska man.
In an outhouse with no door
And a pink weapon on the floor.

See? That just doesn't work at all. Even the bears would tiptoe in the other direction. Paint it orange or silver or baby chit yellow. Anything but pink.

We had a pink chipmunk at the F.A.R.T. HQ. I didn't see it mind you but someone was supposedly chasing it when the boat got away. At least that's what he told everyone. The mule said hooch was involved so I don't really know.

Hey Sourdough, how did this .22 mag Chipmunk work out for you?

I am considering one and need a range/use report!!

You and Hunter are two of the few guys I know of that I can depend on your opinions. No sugar coating with you fellers.

I am wanting something with more power than a .22 mag and not as expensive to purchase as a .22 Hornet (which is want I really want).

I never got the .22 Mag Chipmunk, the store could not find one. The Pink .22 LR is fine, the sight is kind'a lame in my opinion. I buried it in a cache up Colorado Creek.

I mostly use my CZ-452FS in .22 Mag.

You "hypothetically" buried one up Johnson Creek. OPSEC
I had a compass, but without a map, it's just a cool toy to show you where oceans and ice are.

I played with a little thompson center hot shot in 22 lr a few weeks back. I like it better than the chipmunk santa gave the boy. I like the ease of loading whereas the chipmunk can be a PIA to load. The downside it does cost more to purchase.

I got the Cricket in pink for my daughter when she was little. It was a good gun for her to learn on as well as her younger siblings because of the small stock size and light weight. I just wish it wasn't pink as it just looks butt ugly to me but I got out voted by mom when it was time to buy it. Two things I do not like on it. I do not like the open sights. It is a wierd circle rear sight and post front sight. Not very good in my opinion. Also the blueing isn't that great. Mine started developing rust really easy. I have to keep it coated all the time even though the other guns in the safe are fine.

And Rick, the advantage of pink is for making it easier to find at the bottom of the pond when your canoe capsizes.

That pink stock is no problem. It can be replaced with a full sized adult unit for $35 in a choice of colors!

You got your orange, black and desert tan all at the same price and various woods just a shade higher.

I grew up using peep sights so that "wierd circle" is what I prefer.

If it was a peep I would like it. But it is just a big circle and gives no where near the accuracy of a peep.

It is difficult to believe but that "ghost ring" is a very accurate device. I have that setup on two of my shooters and it is my prefered sight if a scope is not available.

I am not familiar with the model on the Crickett so it may be unacceptable for all I know.
