    Default Is this a conspiracy??

I'm thinking I may be in trouble. On saturday I travel to Charlotte. Hurricane Sandy is due in the viscinity. On monday I fly home via JFK. Anyone care to start a pool on when I'll actually get home.
    I'm blaming mini Natertot.

Having never been inthis situation beforesensible suggestions welcome.

It's a plot by the F.A.R.T.S. to keep you in the USA. We tried to meet up and come to take you hostage, but after the nap.....and oh...the lunch....well, we couldn't find the boat......so.....the request went out for a storm to try and do the job for us. This worked out pretty good as it allowed for another nap and a skillet of bacon.

    Stay safe Winnie.

Hey....If you get stuck at JFK, Pal will be next door, in New Jersey.......and I'm pretty sure he'll have plenty of milk, eggs and bread.

Now that there's funny.....I don't care who you are!

It might throw a wrench in the works, but I second the earlier posts:
Weather is in control (remain patient & flexible)
Keep enough petty cash to keep you fed and hydrated for a possible 24-48 hour delay
Consider moving here so you don't have to deal with that hop over the pond

Default You'll be fine, Winnie and quite safe at JFK.

Americans are suckers for that English accent so just dial up the charm and ask for anything. And watch them fall all over themselves trying to accommodate you.
You already know this but have a change of clothing in your carry on, lots of moist towelettes and some empty plastic bottles
you can fill up from a water fountain once you clear security.

Happy trails, sorry I missed seeing you!

Mrs B, the water thing is very often not true on international flights. I had to empty my water bottles to get on the flight to Tel Aviv.

I had some real world travelers with me, and as I groused, they all said that flights into Italy, the Med area, and some other spots, were the same.

Delta seemed to have a never-ending supply of water bottles at their snack stations, but still it was an unpleasant surprise for me.

Winnie, when you get through security etc. Stock up at the snack stands with some comfort items IMMEDIATELY. They will sell out fast. Especially water and beverages. If you have one, or can get one, carry a light blanket and pillow. 2d is correct I am up to my A** in eggs and milk . Unfortunately we here may be in the center of the mess, and can not get up to you. Be safe,

Between clearing the security and getting on the plane you've got some time at the gate. I carry a couple of empty 16oz bottles which I fill as as soon as I get through security. I've always been able to get on a flight with them.
If not, well, better to have it just in case. It'll hurt that much less if you have to ditch it before you board, which I never had to.

Not surprised. Most of skycaps are on work release. You've been very lucky, R.
